Adani Power's Jharkhand amalgamation approved by NCLT

Adani Power Limited (ADANIPOWER) announced that the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Ahmedabad Bench, has sanctioned the Scheme of Amalgamation involving its wholly-owned subsidiary, Adani Power (Jharkhand) Limited (APJL). The NCLT order, dated April 4, 2025, approves APJL's merger with Adani Power Limited (APL), with the appointed date being April 1, 2024. The appointed date for the scheme is April 1, 2024. This move aims to achieve scalability, integration, and financial strength. The company will update exchanges once the scheme becomes effective. As of the Income Tax department's report, there is an outstanding demand of INR 33,05,37,276/- and all taxes payable by the Transferor company are to be paid by the Transferee Company.
