Bharti Airtel and Nokia expand 5G core network collaboration

Bharti Airtel [BSE:BHARTIARTL] and Nokia are expanding their collaboration to speed-up new 5G service delivery and enhance 4G/5G network performance. Airtel will deploy Nokia's packet core appliance-based and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions, integrating 5G and 4G technologies on a unified server platform. The collaboration will leverage Nokia's automation framework for zero-touch service launch and lifecycle management, reducing operational costs. The multi-year deal includes network automation across Airtel's service regions, using GenAl for service orchestration. Nokia's Packet Core solution enables a converged, cloud-native architecture, optimizing Airtel's hardware footprint and reducing costs. The FWA solution enables additional capacity for home broadband and enterprise-critical applications.
