Syngene appoints Peter Bains as managing director & CEO

Syngene International (BSE: 539268) announced the appointment of Mr. Peter Bains as an Additional Director, designated as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 1, 2025. The appointment follows the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and is subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Bains, 67, brings over 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He previously served as CEO of Syngene from 2010 and led the company to its public listing in 2015. He also served as Group CEO at Biocon. The company confirms that Mr. Bains is not debarred from holding the office of director by any regulatory authority.
