PowerGrid wins bid for Madhya Pradesh transmission project

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) announced today that it has been declared the successful bidder for an inter-state transmission system project in Madhya Pradesh. The project, awarded under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB), involves establishing a transmission system for evacuating power from the Mahan Energen Limited Generating Station in Madhya Pradesh. The project will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The Letter of Intent (LoI) was received by POWERGRID on April 1st, 2025, with the LoI dated March 31st, 2025. The project comprises a 400kV D/C Transmission Line and associated bays at the existing Rewa PS (PG) substation in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
