NHPC delays investment in Kuppa pumped storage project

NHPC (BSE: NHPC) has announced a revised timeline for the commencement of investment in the Kuppa Pumped Storage Project (750 MW) located in Chhota Udaipur, Gujarat. According to an exchange filing made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the investment, initially expected to start in fiscal year 2024-25, is now projected to begin in fiscal year 2025-26. The delay is attributed to circumstances beyond the company's control that had previously halted survey and investigation works for the project. NHPC anticipates resuming these activities at the earliest possible time.
