Akzo Nobel India invests in subsidiary ICI India R&T

Akzo Nobel India (BSE: 500710) has informed the exchanges on March 31, 2025, that it has invested in ICI India Research and Technology Centre Private Limited, its subsidiary, through a rights issue. The company has been allotted 1,250,000 equity shares of the subsidiary at par value of INR 1 each, for a total consideration of INR 12,50,000. Post-allotment, Akzo Nobel India's shareholding in ICI India R&T will be approximately 99.99%. ICI India R&T, primarily involved in research and development, reported a turnover of INR 133.60 Lacs and a net worth of INR 71.20 Lacs as of March 31, 2024. The investment aims to provide ICI India R&T with necessary capital for its operational and working capital requirements and to meet its research objectives. This investment is a related party transaction conducted at arm's length.
