BHEL secures EPC order worth INR 11,800 crore

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) [BSE: BHEL] announced today that it has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) package of a 2x660 MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant at Korba West in Chhattisgarh. The order, received on March 27, 2025, is for the Hasdeo Thermal Power Station and is valued at approximately ₹11,800 crore, excluding taxes and duties. The company anticipates completing the commercial operation of the project within 60 months. This contract, secured through domestic competitive bidding, encompasses the supply of supercritical equipment, erection & commissioning works, and civil works, further strengthening BHEL's position in the power generation sector.
