Torrent Power establishes four new step-down subsidiaries

Torrent Power Limited [BSE: TORNTPOWER] has announced the incorporation of four new step-down subsidiaries: Torrent Urja 41 Private Limited, Torrent Urja 44 Private Limited, Torrent Urja 45 Private Limited, and Torrent Urja 47 Private Limited. These entities are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Torrent Green Energy Private Limited (TGEPL). Incorporated on March 19, 2025, each SPV has an authorized and paid-up share capital of ₹5,00,000. The newly formed entities are intended for electricity generation from renewable energy sources, particularly focusing on hydrogen, its by-products, and derivatives. The acquisitions, which are cash-based, are not subject to governmental or regulatory approvals and will not fall under related party transactions. All SPVs are yet to commence business operations.
