Tata Power appoints Pramod Agrawal as independent director

Tata Power (BSE: TATAPOWER) announced the appointment of Mr. Pramod Agrawal (DIN: 00279727) as an Additional Non-Executive Independent Director, effective April 15, 2025. The appointment, based on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee's recommendation, is for a term of five years, concluding on April 14, 2030, subject to shareholder approval. Mr. Agrawal, former Chairman and Managing Director of Coal India Limited, brings extensive administrative and public welfare experience from roles in government and various organizations. His past positions include Joint Secretary in the Department of Disinvestment and Principal Secretary in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He currently serves on the boards of Tata Steel, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services and Century Plyboards (India). Agrawal holds degrees from IIT Mumbai and IIT Delhi. He is not related to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding the position. The Tata Power board meeting approving the appointment concluded at 4:20 p.m. (IST) today.
