Motherson completes acquisition of Atsumitec stake

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (BSE:MOTHERSON) announced the completion of its acquisition of a 51.99% stake in Atsumitec Co. (ATC) through its subsidiary, Samvardhana Motherson Automotive Systems Group B.V. The acquisition, initially announced on December 6, 2024, was finalized on March 24, 2025, after fulfilling precedent conditions. Motherson also stated that the remaining steps, including the buyback of Honda Motor's shareholding in ATC and the purchase of stake in Atsumitec Indonesia, are anticipated to be completed by March 31, 2025. The acquisition will bolster Motherson's automotive systems portfolio.
