Canara Bank appoints S K Majumdar as executive director

Canara Bank [BSE:CANBK] announced the appointment of Shri S K Majumdar as Executive Director, effective March 24, 2025. The appointment, made by the Central Government, follows notification eF.no. 4/5(i)/2023-BO.I from the Ministry of Finance. Majumdar, aged 56, brings over 25 years of banking experience to the role. Before this elevation, he served as the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) of Canara Bank and held key leadership positions, including Circle Head for Delhi and roles heading Large Corporate Branches and Credit Wings, including at the New York branch. A qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant, Majumdar has been with Canara Bank since 2000.
