Sanofi India reappoints Rahul Bhatnagar as independent director

Sanofi India (BSE: SANOFI) announced the re-appointment of Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar as an Independent Director for a second term of five consecutive years, commencing July 29, 2025, and concluding July 28, 2030. The decision, made by the Board based on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee's recommendation on March 18, 2025, is subject to shareholder approval via a special resolution at the upcoming 69th Annual General Meeting. Mr. Bhatnagar has submitted a declaration affirming that he fulfills the criteria for independence, as per Section 149(6) of the Act and Regulation 16(1)(b) of the SEBI regulations, and confirmed he has not been debarred from holding the role of Director. Mr Bhatnagar is a Chartered Accountant and MBA from Wharton, bringing over four decades of experience across diverse industries including FMCG, Telecommunications, Consulting, Insurance, and Real Estate. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the boards of Whirlpool of India Limited, Rossell India Limited, TBO TEK Limited, and Tasty Bites Eatables Limited. The Board also approved convening the Sixty Nineth Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, where the final dividend of ₹ 117/- per equity share will be voted on. Payment will be made to members on the company register as of Friday, April 25th, 2025.
