Star Cement wins limestone block license in Assam

Star Cement announced today that its subsidiary, Star Cement Meghalaya Limited, has been declared the preferred bidder for a composite license for the Boro Hundong Limestone Block in Assam, following e-auctions conducted by the Government of Assam. The block, located in the Dima Hasao district (formerly North Cachar Hills), spans 400 hectares. The area has an estimated limestone resource of 146.75 million tonnes. This strategic acquisition bolsters Star Cement's resource portfolio. The company's notification to the stock exchanges, under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulation, 2015, confirms the development, highlighting the significance of the license. Star Cement's stock code is STARCEMENT.
