IREDA boosts borrowing program by INR 5,000 crore

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved an enhancement of its borrowing program for the financial year 2024-25 by ₹5,000 crore. This decision, made during a board meeting on March 17, 2025, will raise the total borrowing limit from ₹24,200 crore to ₹29,200 crore. The funds will be raised through avenues including taxable bonds, sub-ordinated Tier-II bonds, perpetual debt instruments, term loans from banks and financial institutions, lines of credit from international agencies, and external commercial borrowings. The announcement was made in compliance with SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. IREDA's stock trades on the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange under the symbol IREDA and Scrip Code 544026, respectively.
