Bharti Airtel reorganizes stake in Airtel Payments Bank

** Bharti Airtel (BSE:BHARTIARTL) announced a reorganization of its stake in Airtel Payments Bank Limited, transferring its 69.94% shareholding to Airtel Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary. The move, expected to be completed following customary regulatory and corporate approvals, constitutes an internal restructuring and will not impact the underlying ownership of the bank, according to the company’s filings on March 11, 2025. The transaction is classified as a related party transaction but will be conducted at arm's length. The turnover of Airtel Payments Bank for the financial year 2023-24 was ₹18,358 million, with a net worth of ₹5,038 million. The transaction is slated to take effect on March 11, 2025.
