Powergrid wins tariff-based competitive bidding for transmission project

Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) announced that it has been declared a successful bidder for an interstate transmission system project. The project involves "Transmission System Strengthening at Kurnool-III PS for Integration of Additional RE Generation Projects” on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis. The Letter of Intent has been received by POWERGRID on March 6th, 2025. The project includes augmenting transformation capacity at the Kurnool-III substation, along with extension works at the C'peta substation and a 765kV D/C transmission line. The scope of the project is in Andhra Pradesh.
