NMDC appoints Amitava Mukherjee as chairman & managing director

NMDC (BSE: NMDC) has officially appointed Shri Amitava Mukherjee as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company, according to an announcement dated March 6, 2025. This appointment, formalized by a Ministry of Steel order, is effective from the date Mukherjee assumed the charge, March 6, 2025, and will continue until his superannuation on February 29, 2028, or until further orders. Mukherjee, holding DIN: 08265207, previously served as Director (Finance) since November 2018 and held the additional charge of CMD from March 2023. The announcement confirms that none of NMDC's other directors are related to Mukherjee and that he is not debarred from holding the office of Director.
