Kalyani Powertrain, Compal to make servers in India

Kalyani Powertrain (KPTL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge (BSE:BHARATFORG), has entered a technology licensing agreement with Compal Electronics to manufacture servers in India. The collaboration will leverage Compal's technological support and KPTL's manufacturing capabilities at its Pune facility. This partnership aims to develop server business using locally manufactured solutions, reduce import dependency and cater to the growing demand from enterprises, cloud providers, and government organizations. It intends to provide high-performance, cost-efficient server solutions tailored for AI, cloud computing, and large-scale data processing workloads. The announcement follows KPTL's launch of "Made in India" servers in February 2025. KPTL is expanding its scope to include the ICT field, especially on AI and Server products in 2024.
