Suzlon gains on renewables order expansion with Jindal

Suzlon Energy (BSE: SUZLON) announced that it has secured a third order from Jindal Green Wind 1 Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, for 204.75 MW, bringing the cumulative C&I order to 907.20 MW. The order involves the supply of 65 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a 3.15 MW capacity, to be installed in the Karur region of Tamil Nadu. The generated energy will power captive consumption at steel plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Suzlon's C&I segment now accounts for 59% of its total order book, reaching a record 5.9 GW. The company said that this partnership will help accelerate low CO2 steel manufacturing and sustainable industrial growth in India.
