Powergrid wins tariff-based competitive bidding projects

Powergrid has secured three inter-state transmission system projects under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) mechanism. These projects will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The projects include augmentation of transformation capacity in Rajasthan, ICT augmentation works in Gujarat, and the establishment of a new pooling substation in Andhra Pradesh, along with associated transmission lines across Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The company received the Letters of Intent (LoI) for these projects on March 3, 2025.
