Motherson becomes tier 1 supplier to Airbus for aircraft

Samvardhana Motherson International (MOTHERSON) announced it has been selected as a Tier 1 supplier to Airbus commercial aircraft. Via its subsidiary, CIM Tools India Pvt. Ltd., Motherson will manufacture and deliver aerospace components and assemblies directly to Airbus’ final assembly lines. Supply will begin from Motherson's Bengaluru, India facility. The company is already a Tier 1 supplier to Airbus Helicopter and Airbus Defence and Space. Vivek Chaand Sehgal, Chairman of Motherson, highlighted the company's manufacturing capabilities and commitment to quality. The company's Aerospace Business Division President, Kunal Bajaj, noted that this new Tier 1 status with Airbus Commercial is expected to drive significant growth in the company. The company's financial year end is March.
