Motherson International streamlines structure via composite scheme

Samvardhana Motherson International (MOTHERSON) announced a composite scheme of arrangement to streamline its operations, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. The restructuring involves the demerger of Samvardhana Motherson Innovative Solutions Limited (SMISL) undertaking to Samvardhana Motherson International, as well as the amalgamation of Samvardhana Motherson Auto System Private Limited (SMAS) and Motherson Machinery and Automations Limited (MMAL) with Samvardhana Motherson International and SMISL respectively. The company stated that the scheme aims to simplify the corporate structure, enhance operational efficiencies, and unlock synergies across its various businesses. The company has set April 1, 2024 as the appointed date and has appointed individuals to oversee the scheme.
