Dalmia Bharat to add 6m tons capacity

Dalmia Bharat Limited (BSE: DALBHARAT) announced it will increase its cement production capacity by 6 million tons per annum (MnTPA) through strategic investments in Maharashtra and Karnataka. The expansion involves establishing a 3.6 MnTPA clinker unit and a 3 MnTPA grinding unit at the existing Belgaum plant in Karnataka, alongside a new 3 MnTPA greenfield split grinding unit in Pune, Maharashtra. The project is expected to cost approximately Rs 3,520 Crore and will be funded via a combination of debt and internal accruals. The new facilities are slated for commissioning by Q4 FY27. With this expansion, Dalmia Bharat's total installed cement capacity will increase to 55.5 MnTPA, after considering ongoing expansions in Assam and Bihar. The company aims to become a pan-India player, targeting 75 MnTPA by FY28 and 110-130 MnTPA by 2031.
