Coal India to levy 'Singrauli charge' on NCL mines

Coal India Limited (COALINDIA) announced a levy of ₹300 per tonne, termed "Singrauli Punarasthapan Charge," on coal mined by its subsidiary Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL). The charge will be applied uniformly across all NCL mines, on top of the notified price of coal. This decision, approved by the CIL Board, is scheduled to take effect from May 1, 2025. Coal India anticipates additional revenue of approximately ₹3877.50 crores from this new levy. This information is disclosed as per Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
