Power Grid wins tariff-based competitive bidding projects

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has announced that it has been declared the successful bidder for two inter-state transmission system projects, awarded under a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) framework on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The first project involves the "Transmission Scheme for integration of Davanagere / Chitradurga and Bellary REZ in Karnataka", which includes establishing new 765/400/220kV pooling substations and transmission lines in Karnataka. The second project is "Augmentation at Fatehgarh-II PS, Fatehgarh-IV PS (Section-II) and Barmer-I PS," which includes augmenting ICT infrastructure at existing and under-construction substations in Rajasthan. According to the announcement, the Letter of Intent for both projects was received on February 17th, 2025.
