Tata Power partners with AWS for smart energy transition

Tata Power (BSE: TATAPOWER) has embarked on a data-driven transformation leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) to modernize its digital infrastructure and drive intelligent energy management. The collaboration aims to enhance grid resilience, improve operational efficiencies, and empower consumers to actively participate in India’s clean energy future. Tata Power has migrated 23 mission-critical applications to AWS, enhancing scalability and security across key areas including power generation, renewables, and grid management. The company is also using AWS to analyze data from solar farms, wind assets, and smart meters to optimize plant efficiency, improve grid stability, and provide personalized energy recommendations. Tata Power has 6.7 GW of clean energy generation, constituting 43% of its total capacity. The partnership with AWS marks a significant step in redefining energy management for a net-zero future.
