J.B. Chemicals faces tax demand, plans appeal

J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals (JBCHEPHARM) has disclosed that it received an order from the Joint Commissioner of State Tax, Uttar Pradesh, demanding approximately ₹67.80 lakhs related to an alleged mismatch in ISD input tax credit availed during the financial year 2020-21. The company received the direction on February 18, 2025, and believes it has a strong case on merits and intends to file an appeal against the order. J.B. Chemicals stated that the order is not expected to have a material impact on its financial condition, operations or other activities. The disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
