HDFC Mutual Fund increases stake in AU Small Finance

HDFC Mutual Fund has increased its stake in AU Small Finance Bank, crossing a regulatory threshold that triggered a disclosure. According to a filing with the stock exchanges, the fund's aggregate holdings in the bank reached 5.52% of the paid-up equity share capital as of February 19, 2025. This translates to 4,108,45,599 equity shares. HDFC Mutual Fund acquired an additional 50,86,927 shares through open market purchases. Prior to the acquisition, HDFC Mutual Fund held 4.84% of the bank's equity. The disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 29(1) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011. The company's paid-up equity share capital stands at Rs. 7,44,39,00,210/- comprising 74,43,90,021 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each.
