Bayer CropScience faces GST penalty, shares down

** Bayer CropScience Limited (BSE: BAYERCROP) disclosed that it received an order from the Office of The Assistant Commissioner, Bidhannagar Division, CGST and Central Excise, Kolkata North Commissionerate, West Bengal, imposing a penalty of Rs. 1.96 million. The penalty relates to GST on Input Tax Credit availed during the financial year 2020-21. The company stated it is currently assessing the order and reserves the right to appeal. The announcement was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
