Standard Bank Group confirms David Hodnett as CEO

The Standard Bank Group Limited announced that David Hodnett's appointment as chief executive officer (CEO) and executive director of The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (SBSA) is now effective, following regulatory approval. This follows an initial announcement on SENS on 8 September 2025 regarding the boards of directors' decision.

Shareholders were informed that the South African Reserve Bank's Prudential Authority has approved the appointment. Consequently, David Hodnett officially assumes his new role as of 10 October 2025. This leadership update was released from Johannesburg on the same date.

The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited serves as the JSE sponsor for the Group, while Simonis Storm Securities (Proprietary) Limited is the Namibian sponsor.
