Choppies appoints new COO; deputy CEO resigns

Choppies Enterprises Limited has announced the appointment of Koos Pieterse as chief operating officer, effective October 7, 2025. Pieterse is a chartered accountant (SA) with over 30 years of experience in operations, finance, business strategy, retail, financial management, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, business consulting, and logistics and supply chain optimization. His appointment is contingent on local regulatory approvals in Botswana.

Concurrently, Vinod Madhavan has resigned from his position as deputy chief executive officer for personal reasons, also effective October 7, 2025. The board expressed its sincere appreciation for Madhavan's contributions to the company.
