Vodacom appoints new alternate director, updates committee structure

Vodacom Group Limited has announced the appointment of James Ludlow as an alternate director to non-executive director Leanne Wood, effective September 25, 2025. This appointment aligns with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements. Ludlow holds a bachelor of science (Hons) degree in pure mathematics from the University of Wales, Swansea, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ACA).

Ludlow currently serves as the Vodafone Group Plc reward and policy director and a non-executive director of Safaricom Plc. In his role as group reward & policy director, he is responsible for the strategic design, planning, management, and communication of Vodafone Group Plc’s short-term and long-term reward plans, in addition to providing remuneration and governance advice to all Vodafone Group Plc entities.

Following Ludlow's appointment, Vodacom's committee structures have been updated. The Vodacom nomination committee will now include SJ Macozoma (chairman), J Ludlow, P Mahanyele-Dabengwa, KL Shuenyane, and LS Wood. The Vodacom remuneration committee will comprise P Mahanyele-Dabengwa (chairman), J Ludlow, CB Thomson, and LS Wood. The announcement was made from Midrand on September 25, 2025, with Investec Bank Limited acting as the sponsor.
