Truworths announces new company secretary as Chris Durham retires

Truworths International Limited has announced a change in its company secretary. Chris Durham will retire from the role effective 30 September 2025, after serving the company since 1999. The board expressed its appreciation for his dedicated service and valuable contribution.

Duncan Pask has been appointed as the new company secretary, with his tenure commencing on 1 October 2025. Pask is a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and holds a BCom degree. He brings extensive company secretarial experience, including 15 years with The South African Breweries, and has served as designate company secretary of Truworths since July 2024.

The board has confirmed its satisfaction that Duncan Pask possesses the necessary knowledge and experience to fulfill the duties of company secretary effectively, welcoming his contribution to the company. The announcement was made from Cape Town on 19 September 2025. One Capital serves as the sponsor in South Africa, and Merchantec Capital is the sponsor in Namibia.
