Hammerson details 2025 interim dividend currency conversion

Hammerson plc announced details for its Interim 2025 Dividend of 7.94 pence per ordinary share, payable on Thursday, October 16, 2025. This dividend, declared on July 31, 2025, for the period ending December 31, 2025, will be treated as a Property Income Distribution (PID) and is subject to a 20% UK withholding tax, unless exemptions apply. After accounting for a potential 5% SA Shareholders excess reclaim, the net PID payable is ZAR 141.72185 cents. The dividend will be exempt from SA income tax but subject to SA Dividends Tax at a rate of 20%, unless exemptions or reductions to 5% apply.

The company will not offer a scrip dividend alternative but provides a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP). DRIP purchases settlement for the UK is Monday, October 20, 2025, and for South Africa is Thursday, October 30, 2025. SA shareholders electing the DRIP should note that fractional entitlements will be rounded down, with residual amounts paid in cash. No further tax should be payable on this cash for SA Shareholders.
