Vodacom-Maziv merger clears major regulatory hurdle

The Competition Appeals Court has approved Vodacom's proposed acquisition of a 30% interest in Maziv, overturning the Tribunal's previous prohibition.

Maziv will house material assets including Vumatel and Dark Fibre Africa. The transaction still requires approval from the Independent Communication Authority of South Africa.
