Sun International announces executive director retirement and board changes

Sun International (JSE:SUI) announced the retirement of Mr. AM Leeming as Executive Director, effective immediately. This follows earlier announcements in March and June 2025 regarding Mr. Leeming's intention to retire by the end of December 2025 and the appointment of Mr. U Bengtsson as the new Chief Executive Officer from July 1, 2025. While retiring from his executive director role, Mr. Leeming will remain with Sun International until the end of December 2025 to facilitate a smooth leadership transition, supporting both Mr. Bengtsson and the board. Additionally, Mr. Leeming has also retired from the Sun International Social and Ethics Committee and the Risk Committee. The board expressed gratitude to Mr. Leeming for his eight years of service as Chief Executive. The announcement was made on July 1, 2025.
