Telkom announces ZAR1.3bn shareholder return, FY25 results

Telkom SA SOC Limited announced its fiscal year 2025 results, highlighting a shareholder return of ZAR 1.3 billion driven by successful strategic execution. The company reported a 3.3% increase in Group revenue to ZAR 43.88 billion, bolstered by strong growth in mobile service revenue (up 10.2%) and fiber-related data revenue (up 10.0%). Adjusted EBITDA significantly increased by 25.1% to ZAR 11.792 billion, resulting in margin expansion of 4.7 percentage points to 26.9%. The company declared an ordinary dividend of 163 cents per share and a special dividend of 98 cents per share. Telkom's balance sheet has strengthened, with net debt to Group adjusted EBITDA declining from 1.8x to 0.6x. The disposal of masts and towers concluded, generating ZAR 6.618 billion in cash proceeds. The group anticipates improved EBITDA margins for ongoing operations, ranging between 25% and 27%.
