BlackRock increases stake in South32, breaching threshold

BlackRock, Inc. has notified South32 Limited (JSE: S32) of an increase in its stake, crossing a reporting threshold on May 1, 2025. The notification, dated May 2, 2025, reveals that BlackRock now holds a total of 277,659,551 voting rights in the issuer, representing 6.14% of total voting rights. This includes 5.02% (226,613,951) voting rights attached to shares and 1.12% voting rights through financial instruments. The financial instruments include American Depository Receipts representing 7,011,145 voting rights and Securities Lending representing 16,944,575 voting rights, as well as cash-settled CFD contracts representing 27,089,880 voting rights.
