Glencore announces total voting rights and share buyback activity

Glencore PLC (JSE:GLN) has announced its total voting rights as of April 30, 2025, standing at 12,030,461,959. This figure can be used by shareholders to assess their notification obligations regarding interest in the company under FCA rules. Separately, Glencore executed a share buyback on May 1, 2025, purchasing 3,500,000 of its own ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of GBP 245.05 per share. The purchases were made on the London Stock Exchange through Citigroup Global Markets Limited. The lowest price paid per share was GBP 241.80 and the highest was GBP 246.95. Following the transaction, Glencore holds 1,273,038,041 shares in treasury, with 12,026,961,959 ordinary shares in issue, excluding treasury shares. These buybacks are part of Glencore's existing program expected to conclude by August 6, 2025.
