Naspers appoints Nico Marais as CFO and financial director

Naspers Limited (JSE:NPN) announced the appointment of Nico Marais, 51, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Financial Director for both Naspers and Prosus Group, effective immediately. Marais brings over 25 years of experience in financial management within the Group, most recently as interim CFO since December 2024. Previously serving as General Manager of Finance, he played a key role in major initiatives including the listing of Prosus and share repurchase programs. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Marais holds an accounting degree from Stellenbosch University. He will join the Naspers board immediately and the Prosus board following the annual general meeting in August 2025, subject to shareholder approval. The company will disclose Nico's remuneration in the 2025 Naspers integrated annual report, expected to be published around June 23, 2025.
