Eastern Platinum appoints Changyu Liu as new board chair

Eastern Platinum Limited (JSE: EPS) has announced the appointment of Changyu (Charlie) Liu as its new Non-Executive Chair. Liu, who is the Chairman of Ka An Development Co., a significant shareholder in Eastplats, succeeds the late George Graham Dorin. Effective April 22, 2025, Liu brings over two decades of investment and finance experience in China, Hong Kong, and North America, across sectors like mining, automobile sales, banking, and shipping. Eastplats, which owns PGM and chrome assets in South Africa, highlighted Liu’s commitment to the company's management and operations. The company's CEO, Wanjin Yang, expressed excitement about the prospects of Eastplats becoming a consistent supplier of minerals, supported by Ka An's continued investment.
