Renergen wins appeal against Solar developer over land rights

Renergen Limited (JSE:REN) announced a successful appeal outcome concerning a dispute between its Tetra4 project and Springbok Solar Power Plant. The conflict centered on the solar developer encroaching upon Tetra4's production rights. The Director-General of the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources ruled in favor of Tetra4, upholding their appeal against the Regional Manager's decision regarding land use rights. The original approval granted to the Solar Developer has been revoked due to procedural defects, notably the failure to consult with Tetra4 as required by MPRDA regulations.
