MTC faces competition investigation in Namibia

Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC: JSE:MOCNM) is currently under investigation by the Namibian Competition Commission (NACC). The inquiry, concerning an agreement related to the lease and use of NamPower's dark optic fiber infrastructure, alleges potential breaches of anti-competitive provisions under Sections 23 and 26 of the Competition Act. The NACC has not yet reached a final decision but suggests certain aspects of the agreement may limit market competition.
