Kuaishou live-streaming hit by cyberattack, services restored

Kuaishou Technology announced that its Kuaishou App's live-streaming function was targeted by cyberthreat actors around 10:00 PM on December 22, 2025. The company activated its emergency plan swiftly, and following system repair and restoration, the live-streaming service has gradually returned to normal operation. All other services offered by the Kuaishou App remained unaffected.

Kuaishou Technology reiterated its commitment to conducting business in full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, condemning any content or behavior that violates these standards. The company strongly denounced the illegal and criminal activities associated with underground and gray industries, confirming that the incidents have been reported to the police and other relevant departments. Kuaishou stated it would pursue all appropriate legal remedies to protect the interests of both the company and its shareholders.

In light of these developments, Kuaishou Technology advises shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when trading the company's securities. The announcement was made by order of the board, with Mr. Cheng Yixiao, chairman, signing off in Hong Kong on December 23, 2025. The board currently includes Mr. Cheng Yixiao and Mr. Su Hua as executive directors, alongside non-executive and independent non-executive directors.
