Xiaomi reports share issuance and significant buyback activity

Xiaomi Corporation, a company operating under weighted voting rights, submitted its next day disclosure return on December 16, 2025, detailing changes in its issued and treasury shares. The company issued 29,600 WVR ordinary shares (Class B) on December 16, 2025, in respect of share awards or options granted to participants. This issuance increased the total number of issued shares (excluding treasury shares) to 21,533,749,134 from an opening balance of 21,533,719,534 on December 15, 2025. The new shares were issued at HK$2.04 per share.

The disclosure also highlights significant share repurchases for cancellation. On December 16, 2025, Xiaomi repurchased 7,200,000 WVR ordinary shares (Class B) on the Exchange, at prices ranging from HK$40.36 to HK$41.00 per share, with an aggregate price paid of HK$293,643,916. This single repurchase event, representing 0.028% of the existing issued shares before the event, brings the total number of shares repurchased for cancellation on the Exchange under the repurchase mandate to 119,295,400.

The total number of issued shares (excluding treasury shares) as at December 15, 2025, was 26,045,272,678, comprising 4,511,553,144 Class A ordinary shares and 21,533,719,534 Class B ordinary shares. The repurchase mandate, granted on June 5, 2025, authorized the repurchase of up to 2,594,916,968 shares, with the current repurchased amount representing 0.46% of the issued shares as of the mandate date. A moratorium period for new share issues or sales of treasury shares following repurchases is in effect until January 15, 2026.
