China Coal Energy reports mixed production and sales in November

China Coal Energy Company Limited announced its major productive and operational data for November 2025, revealing a decrease in commercial coal production and sales compared to the previous year. Commercial coal production volume for November was 1,117 ten thousand tonnes, down 7.4% from November 2024. Total sales volume of commercial coal reached 2,174 ten thousand tonnes, a 15.7% decrease year-on-year. However, sales volume of self-produced commercial coal saw a marginal increase of 0.8% year-to-date, totaling 12,542 ten thousand tonnes.

In coal chemical operations, polyolefin production and sales showed mixed results. Polyethylene production volume increased by 6.7% in November 2025 to 6.4 ten thousand tonnes, while polypropylene production rose by 5.0% to 6.3 ten thousand tonnes. Urea production slightly decreased by 1.1% in November 2025 to 18.1 ten thousand tonnes, but cumulative production year-to-date surged by 16.2% to 195.6 ten thousand tonnes. Methanol production and sales for November 2025 both saw minor decreases compared to the previous year.

The company also reported a 17.7% decline in the production value of coal mining equipment for November, totaling RMB6.5 million. The board emphasized that this data is derived from internal statistics and may differ from figures in periodic reports.
