China Southern Airlines reports strong november 2025 operating growth

China Southern Airlines saw passenger capacity, measured by available seat kilometers (ASK), increase by 8.68% year-on-year in November 2025, with domestic, regional, and international routes growing by 5.55%, 9.75%, and 17.44% respectively. Passenger traffic (RPK) also rose by 10.42% year-on-year, driven by gains of 7.36% in domestic, 12.38% in regional, and 18.99% in international traffic. The overall passenger load factor improved by 1.36 percentage points to 86.29%.

Cargo operations also expanded, with available tonne kilometers (ATK) for cargo and mail increasing by 11.61% compared to the same period last year. Cargo and mail traffic (RTK) grew by 7.17% year-on-year. However, the cargo and mail load factor decreased by 2.21 percentage points to 53.39%.

The group introduced seven new aircraft in November 2025 and launched several new major routes, including Harbin-Ningbo and Changchun-Haikou. As of the end of November 2025, China Southern Airlines operated a fleet of 966 commercial aircraft.
