CHALCO details capital contributions to Yunnan Aluminum Foil project

As of December 15, 2025, cash capital contributions from Chinalco High-end, Yunnan Aluminum, and Kunming Copper to Yunnan Aluminum Foil have been fully paid. Additionally, land, fixed assets, claims, and liabilities from Kunming Copper have been transferred. The total capital contribution of 906.45 million yuan will primarily fund Yunnan Aluminum Foil's new energy high-precision sheet, strip, and foil project.

The appraised value of total equity attributable to shareholders of Yunnan Aluminum Foil was 2,087.4092 million yuan as of April 30, 2025, with a registered capital of 800 million yuan. The equity per 1 yuan of registered capital was 2.60926 yuan, with the excess credited to capital reserve. Valuation adopted an asset-based approach, noting an appraisal increment for intangible assets, particularly land use rights, due to increased value and acquisition costs.

Yunnan Aluminum Foil focuses on alloy aluminum sheet, strip, and foil products. In 2024, the company recognized a 19 million yuan actuarial reduction for termination benefits and 96 million yuan for long-term asset impairment, resulting in a loss for the year. The company anticipates improved profitability as new energy projects commence and product structure is optimized.
