Modern Dental Group announces director retirement, board committee changes

Modern Dental Group Limited announced that Dr. Cheung Wai Man William will retire as an independent non-executive director, chairman of the remuneration committee, and a member of the nomination committee, effective December 15, 2025. Dr. Cheung, who has served since December 15, 2015, is stepping down to dedicate more time to his commitments with the FDI World Dental Federation. He confirmed no disagreement with the board regarding his retirement.

Following Dr. Cheung's departure, Dr. Yau Ka Po, another independent non-executive director, will assume the roles of chairman of the remuneration committee and a member of the nomination committee. The company expressed gratitude for Dr. Cheung’s contributions during his tenure.

The updated composition of the board, effective December 15, 2025, includes Dr. Chan Ronald Yik Long as chairman and CEO, Ms. Chan Yik Yu as chief marketing officer, Mr. Chan Kwun Pan, and Mr. Chan Chi Yuen as executive directors. Mr. Chan Kwun Fung is the non-executive director, while Dr. Cheung Wai Bun Charles, J.P., Dr. Chan Yue Kwong Michael, and Dr. Yau Ka Po serve as independent non-executive directors. The audit committee will be chaired by Dr. Cheung Wai Bun Charles, J.P., the nomination committee by Dr. Chan Yue Kwong Michael, and the remuneration committee by Dr. Yau Ka Po.
