Weichai Power names Huang Weibiao new employee representative director

Weichai Power Co., Ltd. announced the election of Mr. Huang Weibiao as an employee representative director, effective December 4, 2025. This appointment was made at the staff delegation meeting, aligning with amendments to Chinese laws and company articles to enhance corporate governance. Mr. Huang, previously an executive director, will serve until the conclusion of the annual general meeting for the year ending December 31, 2026. Following this election, he transitions from an executive director to an employee representative director and will continue his role on the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) committee of the board.

Mr. Huang Weibiao, 44, holds a master's degree in management and is a senior economist. He joined Weichai Power in July 2006 and possesses extensive experience in human resources management. His current roles include deputy secretary of the party committee and employee representative director of Weichai Power, and deputy secretary of the party committee and a director of Weichai Group Holdings Limited. Mr. Huang will enter into a service contract for his new role but will not receive additional remuneration for this specific position.

As of the announcement date, Mr. Huang has no prior directorships in other public companies listed on any securities market in Hong Kong or overseas in the past three years. He also has no relationships with any directors, senior management, or substantial shareholders of Weichai Power, nor does he hold any interests in the company's shares or underlying shares. The company confirmed there are no other matters concerning his election that need to be disclosed to shareholders or the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
